Fern Court is situated between the two rural villages of Churchdown and Down Hatherley, but just four miles from both Cheltenham and Gloucester.
About Fern Court
Fern Court is a 9-bed individual care home with a recently built 4-bedroom extension to the rear of the main house, which specialises in providing accommodation for individuals who have learning disabilities and have challenging behaviours.
Our home, which was once a large Victorian detached property, is set within two acres of peaceful gardens and has been tastefully restored and updated with modern amenities.
There are facilities to cater for every need and participation in a wide range of activities – both within our home and in the local area – is actively encouraged.
We have our own vehicles or individuals can take advantage of the local bus connections to visit local facilities and take an active role in the local community.
We place great emphasis on creating a warm, welcoming home from home for our individuals for as long as they wish to stay, whilst providing safety, security and empathy for their individual behaviours.

Activities and events
In January 2021, Fern Court opened a brand new purpose built activity day centre where individuals are scheduled in each day. ‘The Pod’ is separately staffed to the main house with two qualified and experienced Activity Co-ordinators. ‘The Pod’ has a separate garden used for gardening and relaxation.
Fern Court also offers a multi sensory room complete with a double water bed.
Individuals at Fern Court also enjoy a large range of internal and external activities including massage, horse riding, swimming, snoozelen, jamats, days outs and much more.
