Ribston Lodge

For those who wish to live more independently, New Beginnings has created a group of newly refurbished rental apartments for individuals or couples with a learning disability and/or physical disabilities.

Ribston Lodge provides five individual one bedroom apartments within a large Victorian house on the popular Stroud Road in Gloucester.   New Beginnings will provide secured tenancies for people who prefer to live independently within our community. There are two ground floor apartments with full hoist tracking systems suitable for those with a physical disability as well as the more able. Fully fitted kitchens are included as well as walk in bathrooms with full facilities. These apartments would easily accommodate couples as well as individual tenants.

Three first floor apartments provide light and airy accommodation, with fully fitted kitchens and bathrooms. Each apartment has its own entrance and are served by an internal staircase accessed via the main door. At the heart of the property is a separate staff area that can be used by independent support staff to provide assistance, security and reassurance to those tenants who need that extra support on hand nearby. It is important to note that New Beginnings will only provide tenancy accommodation. Support and care packages need to be separately sourced.

It is clear though that many people prefer the security of living in their own accommodation. Any support needed to maintain independence can be accessed from a variety of sources. More information on any support needed can be gained by talking to your care manager or social worker.

Providers, service users and families are invited to contact the Home Manager Tony Tokai on 01452 528587 to enquire about placements and current vacancies.
