Fern Court is a 9-bed residential care home with a recently built 4 bedroom extension to the rear of the main house, which specialises in providing accommodation for service users who have learning disabilities and present behaviours that may challenge other services.
The home is a tastefully restored and updated Victorian detached house set in two acres of gardens, situated in the rural village of Churchdown/ Down Hatherley, but within four miles of both Cheltenham Town and Gloucester City. There is a local bus route to both the town and the city centres, and the unit has its own vehicles too. Local facilities abound and the service user group are encouraged to take a full and active part within the community.
There are facilities within the area to cater for every needs and participation is actively encouraged. Emphasis is given to providing a warm, welcoming home to service users for as long as they wish to stay, whilst providing safety, security and empathy for their individual behaviours.
Providers, service users and families are invited to contact the Home Manager Natasha Fear to enquire about placements and current vacancies. As part of our parent group, New Beginnings, we are able to provide a very individual service whilst providing all the benefits of belonging to a larger organisation.
